The husband of U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi pleaded guilty Tuesday to misdemeanor driving under the influence charges related to a May crash in California’s wine country and was sentenced to five days in jail and three years of probation.

He will also have to pay nearly $7,000 in fines including nearly $5,000 in victim restitution for medical bills and lost wages.
The arrested following a two-car crash on May 28 near Yountville, Calif., in Napa County.
Pelosi was released on $5,000 bail after his arrest.
